Nuclear Accidents

Course Outline

An overview of each accident will be provided.  The reactor design and containment for each will be discussed.  Then a discussion of how the emergency notification was conducted will be given.  The amount of radiation released will be stated.  A discussion of the health effects from the accidents will be summarized.  How each accident was rated on the International Nuclear Event Scale will be stated.  The aftermath of each accident will be provided.  Finally a Table of Differences of the accidents will be at the end.

This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.

With a rebirth of nuclear power being discussed and planned, many people may be considering employment in this field but may not understand the accidents that have occurred. This course will provide an overview of these issues to clarify them.

Summary
