Steven G. Liescheidt, P.E., CCS, CCPR

Course Outline

This one hour online course discusses commission ventilated containment systems in laboratories focusing on the specialized approaches require for ventilated containment systems.

This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of course materials.

Learning Objective

At the conclusion of this course, the student will:

Intended Audience

This course is intended for mechanical engineers and other engineers involved with commissioning of laboratory facilities.

Benefit for Attendee

Attendee of this course will be able to better understand commission process involved with laboratory ventilated containment systems.

Course Introduction

As the art of commissioning continues to evolve, changes will result from technological advances, particularly in the are of ventilated enclosure testing. This course source document covers the current state of this industry and outlines many of the details needed to perform this process.

Course Content

This course is primarily based on Laboratories For The 21st Century:  Best Practice Guide – Commissioning Ventilated Containment Systems In The Laboratory, DOE/GO-102008-2653, August 2008:
