Intended Audience

This manual is written for use by managers and employees of safe driving practices.  It is intended to provide knowledge that will be passed to employees to reduce on-the-job related injuries and deaths.

Benefit to Attendees

Students will gain an understanding from this course of the proper approach to understanding, assessing, and reporting the dangers of transportation and how to reduce the risks associated with transportation.

Course Introduction

This course is based on the publication, A Guide to Transportation Safety. The techniques and methodologies described in this course document are applicable to most areas in the United States and Canada.

Course Summary

The purpose of this course is to understand the risks associated with on-the-job driving activities and to train employees on how to avoid those risks.  The attendee will understand the proper procedures on the road as well as what to do when an accident does happen.
