This five-hour online course is only an introduction of many practical methods utilized in Quality Management. The basic assumption, here, is the knowledge of essential quality management tools based on production processes, and scientific management approaches.

Learning Objective
At the conclusion of this course, the student will:
- Understand the concepts and parameters used in quality management methods;
- Understand the concepts and parameters used in industrial production in parallel with quality techniques;
- Understand the common terms usually used for quality management technologies;
- Know the meaning and application of TQM, QMS and Quality Assurance (QA);
- Be able to learn and recognize the importance of quality management in our society, due its huge use in engineering and industrial production;
- Be able to learn the concepts used in the stages of ISO 9000, ISO 10000 and other ISO important guidelines;
- Know the basic comprehension of the terms generally used in production management as Six Sigma, 5 W´s and 1 H, PPC, ERP, MRP, APQP, Poka-Yoke, etc ;
- Recognize quality characteristics of Non-conformance Record (NCR), Corrective Actions, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Total Production Maintenance (TPM), etc;
- Know the minimum concepts of quality systems as PDCA, Audit, Codes of Conduct, etc; and
- Understand how to apply quality management systems as FMEA, SQC, Pareto Analysis, Cause and Effect, Control Charts, Histograms, etc.

This course is intended for everyone, women or men, beginners, students, technicians, land surveyors, architects, engineers, contractors and professionals interested or working with quality management or manage production and services more effectively.
