This one-hour online course introduces the scope and practice of a state licensing board through the use of case studies: examination of ten actual enforcement decrees issued by the board.

This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.

Course Introduction

Engineering ethical behavior and behavior meeting standards of professionalism are enforced in part by state licensing agencies.  Familiarity with actual enforcement decisions of licensing agencies leads to greater awareness of how professional standards are enforced in practice.

This course is based on the study of ten Stipulation and Order decrees from a state agency responsible for licensing engineers.
