Ethics in Life and the Professions

Course Outline

Engineering and surveying professions are considered to be of vital importance to the safety, health and welfare of the public. In order to serve the public effectively and ensure the well-being of the society, all licensees must not only possess and maintain a high level of technical expertise and competence, but also perform under the standard of professional conduct with adherence to the highest ethical principles. In this webinar, we will review the ethical principles in life and the professions, discuss the difference between laws and ethics, and study the approaches that can be used to improve or modify a person’s set of ethics. In addition, we will examine the classical moral theories and the Code of Ethics in our profession.

This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of course materials.
