A Professional Engineer must always recognize that the foremost obligation of engineering practice is to protect the safety, health, and welfare of the public. This course is designed to help licensees become familiar with the rules and regulations governing the practice of engineering in North Carolina, including the 2023 CPC rule changes. These updates require each licensee to complete at least one (1) Professional Development Hour (PDH) in Ethics or Rules of Professional Conduct as part of the continuing professional competency requirements.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
* Note: This course cannot be used to satisfy other states' PDH requirement in Board Laws & Rules.
NY PE & PLS: You must choose courses that are technical in nature or related to matters of laws and ethics contributing to the health and welfare of the public. NY Board does not accept courses related to office management, risk management, leadership, marketing, accounting, financial planning, real estate, and basic CAD.
