Bidding and procurement operations involve the engineer or architect, as well as involving several other professionals or groups who either initiate the procurement, fund it, or assemble a final contract with a chosen vendor or contractor. It is essential to be familiar with the intricacies of procurement, the documents required for a successful bid or procurement process, and to be able to analyze or assist in the analysis of a bid result. This course is a survey of the various procurement operations and provides a formalized summary of several government procurement situations, specifications, handbooks, and other published material which has been used to standardize the procedure and process.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
