8-HR Refresher Training

This eight hour course provides valuable refresher information for those individuals who have already completed the required 24 hour or 40 hour HAZWOPER course. Completion of this course will provide the student the necessary information and testing to maintain their HAZWOPER certification. It was designed by an instructor who has conducted numerous similar training courses.
This course requires the completion of a multiple-choice quiz at its conclusion in order to obtain the necessary certification for the individuals to continue working at hazardous waste sites covered under the OSHA regulation.

The OSHA HAZWOPER regulations require that every person who has completed either the initial 24-hour or 40-hour training course and remains involved in emergency response involving hazardous chemicals or hazardous waste operations must annually complete an 8-hour refresher course. The course material presents refresher information required to maintain proficiency in the required subject matter.

There are a variety of hazards associated with working at a hazardous waste site or emergencies involving hazardous chemicals. This course has discussed these hazards and how to plan for them and protect oneself from them. It meets the OSHA requirements for the 8-hour refresher training required under 29 CFR 1910.120.
