PDHonline Course Provider Biography
Mr. Berns has earned a Master degree in Electrical Engineering from Power Institute, Russia and is Professional Engineer in New York and New Jersey. He spent over thirty years designing complex control systems for water, wastewater, marine, food and web converting industries. Currently, Mr. Berns work at American Water Company Applied Water Management Group as Managing Electrical Engineer. In this role he is responsible for all aspects of design and start-up of power distribution and control systems for water and wastewater treatment plants. In addition to his professional experience, Mr. Berns is former adjunct instructor in electrical and control courses at New Jersey Institute of Technology. In addition to his professional and educational experience, Mr. Berns is a contributing author to the fourth edition of Instrument Engineer’s Handbook.
