This 4-hour course describes the environmental effects of offshore wind energy systems. The potential effects of offshore wind energy system foundations on the marine environment are addressed in this course. Foundation types are explained as well as the installation process for each foundation type. The types of marine life that may be impacted is discussed and an analysis of the impact of each foundation type on the environment presented.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
