Learning Units (Hours)
Steven G. Liescheidt, P.E., CCS, CCPR
There is a considerable body of research that describes the impact of the visual quality of the work environment on worker comfort, health, and productivity. The appropriate design of lighting systems is especially important in laboratories, given the intensity and significance of work carried out in laboratories and the long work hours spent by researchers.
This course is based on the document Laboratories For The 21st Century: Best Practices Guide – Efficient Electrical Lighting In Laboratories, DOE/GO-102005-August 2006.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
