Timothy L. O'Hearn, PE
This 8-hour course is Part 2 of a course primarily concerned with outdoor ac substations, either conventional or gas-insulated. Distribution, transmission, and generating plant substations are included. With proper caution, the methods described here are also applicable to indoor portions of such substations, or to substations that are wholly indoors.
The intent of the course is to provide guidance and information pertinent to safe grounding practices in ac substation design.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
