Learning Units (Hours)
Lee Layton, PE
This 5-hour course looks at the evolving concepts of microgrid power systems. Microgrid power systems are a contiguous group of generation sources and loads that may operate in parallel with the utility grid or operate independently as a standalone or “islanded” utility system. The course explains the concept in detail including technical and economic issues with microgrids as well as expected uses for microgrids.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
