Many state licensing boards require their licensees to receive certain amount of professional ethics training before they renew their licenses. This course provides professional engineers and land surveyors an overview of professionalism, professional obligations, and the standards of professional conduct. In addition, this course covers in detail the issues related to registrations, recordkeeping, professional misconduct, and continuing education.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of course materials.
This course is designed to help you meet the ethics training requirement for the following states: Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Texas and Wisconsin.
NY PE & PLS: You must choose courses that are technical in nature or related to matters of laws and ethics contributing to the health and welfare of the public. NY Board does not accept courses related to office management, risk management, leadership, marketing, accounting, financial planning, real estate, and basic CAD. Specific course topics that are on the borderline and are not acceptable by the NY Board have been noted under the course description on our website.
