John C. Huang, Ph.D, PE
The material covers the concept of “thinking outside the box” including one of several possible origins of the process. A path to using the process by avoiding the creation of the box to begin with is offered. Cautions that need to be observed to avoid hampering the thinking process with unintentional and unrecognized restraints are provided. Several examples of non-classical solutions to engineering problems are presented.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
