With public concern about indoor air quality rising, many people are unknowingly making it worse by using air purifiers or other devices that intentionally inject ozone into the indoor spaces. Most Federal Agencies recommend that ozone should not be used in occupied spaces. Ozone is a gas that can cause health problems, including respiratory tract irritation, breathing difficulty, asthma exacerbation, and chest pain. This 3-hour course attempts to address whether the use of ozone injection is safe and effective in controlling indoor air pollution.
The course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of course materials.
