Jurandir Primo, PE

The subject of Chain Conveyors is of primary interest to engineers and others who are responsible for selecting equipment for handling bulk materials. The information presented in this short manual is intended to cover only the basic principles of Chain Conveyors Design.

The formulas and recommendations are based on industry practice and are believed to be reliable and have to be used only as guidelines. The author can not assume any role or responsibility for improper use of tables and formulas. A qualified engineer in Material Handling should be always consulted to give satisfactory solutions to conveyor systems.
