This course is designed to meet the Florida Board of Professional Engineers continuing education requirement that a minimum of 1 PDH per renewal period must be devoted to study of recent changes (that affect engineering practice) in
Chapter 61G15 of the Florida Administrative Code – “Board of Professional Engineers Organization & Purpose”The course applies to the current biennial cycle, 2019-2021 (March 1, 2019, to the renewal deadline, February 28, 2021). The laws and rules changes described in the course went into effect during the immediately preceding biennium cycle (March 1, 2017 to February 28, 2019). Examples of recent disciplinary actions taken by the Florida Board of Professional Engineers are also included.
* Note: This course can be used to satisfy 1-hour Florida Law (Florida Laws and Rules) training requirement for engineers licensed in Florida.
NY PE & PLS: You must choose courses that are technical in nature or related to matters of laws and ethics contributing to the health and welfare of the public. NY Board does not accept courses related to office management, risk management, leadership, marketing, accounting, financial planning, real estate, and basic CAD. Specific course topics that are on the borderline and are not acceptable by the NY Board have been noted under the course description on our website.
