As of January 2020, approximately one dozen U.S. states and territories have adopted the 2018 International Building Code. This course highlights the structural provisions contained in Chapter 16 of the 2018 International Building Code, and is designed to help architects and engineers become familiar with the latest building code requirements. The course materials are based on the 2018 IBC Chapter 16 - Structural Design. Detailed answers to some of the frequently asked questions are also provided, including the significant changes from the previous editions. This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of course materials.
NY PE & PLS: You must choose courses that are technical in nature or related to matters of laws and ethics contributing to the health and welfare of the public. NY Board does not accept courses related to office management, risk management, leadership, marketing, accounting, financial planning, real estate, and basic CAD.
