All of the information provided in this course has been previously published from a series of separate articles in the STRUCTURE Magazine jointly distributed by the NCSEA, CASE and ASCE/SEI. The material presented in this course includes part two of the material and related previously published articles only.
This course is intended to present a compilation of the available knowledge on a number of antiquated structural systems or the early development of systems that are still in use today including structural steel composite stub girder construction, post-tensioned concrete, wrought and cast iron, open web steel joists and other additional miscellaneous systems.
The course content was first published in STRUCTURE® magazine as five separate articles between 2007 and 2008; www.STRUCTUREmag.org.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
NY PE & PLS: You must choose courses that are technical in nature or related to matters of laws and ethics contributing to the health and welfare of the public.
