Alaska and Virginia Require PDH’s in the Near Future
Continuing the trend of requiring PDH credits for professional license renewals, Alaska and Virginia have joined the growing list of states with such requirements. Specifically, professional engineers in the state of Alaska will need 24 PDH credits for their biennial license renewal starting December 2010. The Virginia General Assembly has passed the bill (HB1054) which mandates that the Virginia APELSCIDLA Board implement a mandatory continuing education program (16 PDH’s) for architects, professional engineers, and land surveyors. The VA Board is currently implementing the legislative mandate and expects to announce the detailed PDH requirements in first quarter of 2009.
