Kimberly Martin, Ph.D., P.E., ENV SP
Although the use of the term "sustainability" is becoming more widespread, it can be difficult to know what tangible things we can do as geotechnical engineers and contractors to further the goals of sustainable development. During this talk, Kimberly will provide a brief background on sustainability, demonstrate how geotechnical engineers and contractors can have a large impact when it comes to environmental sustainability, and provide ideas to push our industry forward on the topic of social sustainability.
Keller North America provides a wide range of geotechnical engineering and construction services to improve soils in-place and to both construct new and rehabilitate foundations. The techniques that will be discussed include Compaction & Jet Grouting, Embankment Stabilization & Excavation Support, Vibro Compaction & Replacement, Micropiles, and Pile Driving. Within our range of services, a Ground Modification solution is generally available for the toughest subsurface conditions.
