This seminar will cover topics related to Dewatering & Geotechnical Construction Techniques for Coal Combustion Residual Pond Closures. Topics will include: Update on the new CCR Legacy Surface Impoundments Ruling; Best practices in ash pond closure, beneficial reuse, and repurposing; Safe access, methods of dewatering ash, and water treatment for ash pore water; Techniques for enhancing and improving the geo-structural qualities of ash; Geo-structural methods for support of excavation and foundation support in ash; Unique applications of instrumentation and monitoring for construction safety and monitoring of site features.
